Welcome to the eighth installment of "ToyMasterSilver3DFolders". In it, you will find 36 new folders, 1 updated folder, and a special bonus icon. Among the new folders are the rest of the flags of Europe (several people wrote to me and asked for all the European nations). While it took some time to find the new flags of all those new countries, they are here in their entirity now. With the previous installment (Part 7), all the flags of Europe should be at your disposal.
Also with this new part of the collection, you will find a few new applications, games and utilities along with some assorted generic folders. I have also included for astonomy fans a bonus icon (not a folder but in ResEdit format) of a Celestron C8 telescope decked out with a C90 as a tracking scope (modeled after my own amateur setup).
Remember, don't just replace the folders that you have with the SIlver3D's, as they may not be spelled the same way (which could cause some finder confusion). Instead, please follow the next paragraph on how to change you folder icons...
The procedure should be as follows:
Select the Silver 3D folder you want to use by clicking on it. Go to the File menu and select "Get Info". Once the Silver 3D Get Info box is up, click on the folder icon so that a square box surrounds it. Then do a "Copy" command from the Edit menu (or a "Command-C" keystroke from the keyboard). Close the Silver 3D's Get Info box by clicking the small square box in the upper left part of the Get Info box. Now, select the folder you want to transfer the folder icon to, by clicking on it and selecting "Get Info" from the File menu. Once again, click on the folder icon in the box so a square surrounds it. Go to the Edit menu and select "Paste" (or a "Command-V" from the keyboard). The folder should update to the Silver 3D folder you wanted. Close the Get Info box by clicking in the square in the upper left hand corner and you are done.
Since this is an ongoing project, this collection (numbering 439 at present) will be updated and changed from time to time by newcomer programs, interesting new topics, and upgraded icons from existing programs. I also want to thank those that have sent me icons or have let me use some of their artwork. Please keep the mail coming as I always like to hear from all of you, and special requests are honered as much as possible. If you have any icons from programs that I have done that have been updated, or if you have some icons that I haven't done yet, please send them along. All I ask is that you keep this read me file with the archive if you redistribute the Silver3D folder collection to other users. Have fun, and enjoy customizing your Macintosh!
